Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a author, performer and actress in the United States for over 40 years. Her most well-known role is for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV series Gilligan's Island). The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage performance in the 1950s. Following that, she performed on Broadway in a variety of performances until 1957 when Li'l Abner made it huge at the National Theater. The same year, She made her debut album, It's the Time for Tina. Louise was first introduced to Hollywood as Griselda Walden, in God's Big Acre a 1957 drama film. The film was an enormous success and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. While in New York, Louise enrolled in Actors Studio and began her relationships and friendship with Lee Strasberg. Her most memorable performance came through in 1964 when she enrolled with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood as well as Broadway as a somber character in order to dispel her image as a the glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. In recent times, she also became a well-known director of popular television programs like Supernatural and The 100. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto and she lived there for childhood and adolescence. After being chosen for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She is a resident of Vancouver ever from then on.
